Maggott HQPain is the spice of life © September 26 MusicWell, for the first time in many months, my life is getting back on track. I am excited about music again. I have 2 projects that have really started to inspire me. An acoustic project with a friend from work, and a full band project with most of my old bandmates. Hopefuly these things take off for me. I know I'll be doing a few things different this time around.
Also, I have started a new "diet". So far I have lost 22 pounds!! GO ME!! What is my goal with this diet? I dunno. I plan on staying in this new lifestyle for life. It's a long term plan, as opposed to jsut a diet. July 16 LMFAO!!!It's funny how people have it all wrong...... For example...
Girl: Slow down, I'm scared.
Guy: No, this is fun. Girl: No it's not. Please it's too scary! Guy: Then tell me you love me. Girl: Fine I love you. Slow down! Guy: Now give me a BIG hug. Girl : hugs him Guy: Can you take my helmet off and put it on yourself? It's bugging me. Girl: alrite now slow down Guy: i love you babe (in the paper the next day): A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of brake failure. Two people were on it, but only 1 had survived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his brakes broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him and felt her hug one last time, then he had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die. Very sweet and touching, no? What girl wouldn't want to be with a thoughtful, caring guy like that?
I dunno... Personaly....... I would rather be with a person with enough sense to down shift and stop, since apparently they had time for all THAT.... But thats just me....... :P lol June 04 Pics....I just uploaded a crapload of pics from my trips to Banff and Waterton. I just got back from Waterton today, and it is amazing down there. I found a billion things to do and see, and a great campground that I hope to get back to this year. The drive is only about 3 hours, and it goes quickly, as there is alot to see on the way... surprisingly. Enjoy. April 22 Guess who's back.... Back again...Wow.... where to start?!.. I guess first and foremost... I don't have a band anymore... MuDvAyNe opened up for KoRn in Vancouver on March 4th.. so the Band and I headed out to see it. Awesome concert (even though we missed some of Mudvayne February 20 What a CRAZY show!!!Alot of cool people showed up that night. A few freinds from work. a few I haven't seen in a while. And even the guitarest from Audioerotica came out. Wish I got him up on stage though, that would have been a blast! Most of the night went fine.... We were sounding really good and everyone was into us, danging and shit. then close to the end of the 3rd set this drunk guy staggered up to the stage.........."I have been comin gto this bar for 15 years...blah..blah..blah...blah and you guys are by far the worst band I have ever seem get the fuck out".... we were like whatever and started playing again. so he staggers off. the next thing I know people are pushing around in the back by the pool tables. the bar tender hauls them over to the door to kick them out. Then the 2 guys start fighting in the bar. their girlfriends try to pull them apart, but it wasn't happening... I find out later that the guy that bitched to us was 1 of the guys fighting. The bar staff locked him outside, and the other fighting guy inside to break it up. Meanwhile, another group of guys (totaly pissed out of their tree) want to be asses and demand to go outside for a smoke (another fight broke out in the street and they just wanted to go watch, or start more shit or whatever) so the bartender was like, no way there's a fight outside.. so they pull the fire alarm!!! but the bar tender kept the doors locked till the cops and fire department came. So there we are playing our last song. right in the middle of Stinkfist and the alarm starts going off... I was like Do we stop playing?! and the guys are like Hello no! so we kept playing while the fire alarm was going off and all that drama was going on! Just as we finish the cops show up. it was fuckign CRAZY! Unfortunately, the camera died after the second set, so we didn't get any of that stuff... So now we are looking for a Bassest and prolly a singer... We won't do any shows till we find sombody to play bass.... I just hope it doesn't take long......
The bar liked us so much they asked us back again. We made them alot of money. After Friday, we had already paid for ourselves with the drinks sold, so Sat was all profit for them.... There were about 4-5x the number of peopel out on sat.... maybe like 40-50 people.... we only knew about 8 of them, to that was awesome! February 18 Old Hotel Pt. 2Well, just sitting here waiting on the Drummer before we head up to Airdrie again. Yesterday's show was not too bad. it was like -25 lastnight so nobody showed up. Can't blaim them. YOu are NOT allowed to smoke in the bars in airdrie, so that has really impacted the turnout for these poor bars. Who wants to stand outside to smoke when it's that cold. We had about 10 people there. I met an old friend lastnight, and that was awesome! I haven't seen him in years unfortunately. Glad you came man! He's poping the question today, I hope that went well! So I'm sitting here bored, so I got my hair braided and threw some flourescent pain in for shits and giggles.... I was going to do all the braids, but I think that'll be a little overboard, so I just did the front. Should be a crazy night! the turnout should be good! BE THERE!! February 16 Off To Airdrie!Well, I'm just leaving for Airdrie to go set up the equipment and do a Sound Check for this weekend's gig. FAWK it's cold outside!! -25 and nose diving. Remember. Old Hotel, Airdrie. Main St, Center Ave onthe west side (Across from the Mall) Feb 17th-18th 9:30ish We will be starting with an acoustic set this time! BE THERE! February 07 Work.....I often wonder why people spend sssooo much time at work lately. it seems like everyone's working overtime... Myself included.... And why? Why sacrifice your personal time to spend it working for sombody else? This is your life, you only get so much of it. The pursuit of money is endless.......Or is it because we feel we owe it to the company?....... If you were dieing, how much would 1 hour of your life be worth? $12/ hr? $20/hr? time and a half? We are all dieing 1 minute at a time. I'd rather spend it living, than anything else.
Granted work is a part of life, we all have to do it, but unless you own the company, there's no need to feel so dedicated. it's just a job. there are millions out there. Yes I know our economy is driven by our workforce, and the harder you work, the better it gets. But you have 8 hours in wich to do that in. Do you really need more than that? Who's REALLY looking good at the end of the day? You? Or your Boss? February 05 What an amazing show this weekend!!What a blast that was. we had awesome lighting, fog, lasers, video player..... we had it all baby!!! I'm tired though. I have beena bundle of nerves ever since our bassest quit and left us high and dry just before this show. But thankfuly we found sombody that could fill in and come through for us in such short notice. We did such a good job, that the bar invited us back again in 2 weeks! WOO HOO! Thanks to everyone that showed up..... And for those that didn't..... See you in less than 2 weeks ;) January 28 Old PeopleI feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over. --- Reporters interviewing a 104-year-old woman: "And what do you think is the best thing about being 104?" the reporter asked. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart. "Wal-Mart?" the preacher exclaimed. "Why Wal-Mart?" Now, I think you're supposed to send this to 5 or 6, maybe 10. Oh hell, just send it to a bunch of your friends if you can remember who they are.
